There is no better tool to be used for the actor's training. If correctly used and taught, it will prepare the actor for the professional world. It will prepare the actor to understand and conquer his or her casting for the professional casting demands of film and stage.
All scenes presented in class must be thoroughly rehearsed with detailed application of the technique and check-list. All theatrical tools should be used by the actors i.e. props, costumes, hair and make-up, lighting, sound, extras, etc. The performance of a scene is followed by an in-depth critique by the teacher with many directorial questions to clarify or challenge the actor's creative and artistic potential of the scene. The teacher may request the student to repeat the scene, to move on to further scenes from the same piece, or move on to the actor's further casting and direction.
Classes are held weekly, usually about four hours long with 4 or 5 scenes per class. Occasionally class exercises are included: Song and Dance, Environment, Picture Exercise, Improvisation, Personal Monologue, among others.
